Privacy Policy for Website, Account and Call Data
This policy explains how we collect and use information from website visitors, customer businesses and their callers. Read the handling and retention details, then try the demo with a fictional pest control inquiry.

Who operates this service
TypeScience, trading as Pest Control Answering HQ, operates this website and AI answering service. This policy covers information connected with visiting the site, trying the demo, opening an account and using the receptionist. Privacy questions and requests go to [email protected].
We distinguish between information about our customers and visitors, and information from people calling a customer's business. That distinction matters when someone asks why a detail was collected or wants a call record corrected. General product help goes to [email protected].
Our role in customer calls
The customer business decides what caller information to collect and why, and we process that information on its behalf. Your pest control business supplies its services, service area, intake questions, hours and other answering instructions. Our data processing terms form part of the service terms.
If you called one of our customers, that business is the contact for questions about its treatment policies or reasons for collecting your details. You can also send a privacy request to us. We handle caller information to provide the service for the business, and we do not use it for our own marketing.
Account and billing information
We collect account details such as your name, business name, email address and phone number. These details support your account and the answering service you set up. Email is also used for service communications, including the trial reminder described in our terms.
Our payment processor handles billing information, and we do not store full payment card numbers. Account information and payment processing serve different parts of the subscription: your business details identify the account, while the processor handles payment. Questions about a charge or account setup can go to [email protected].
Onboarding answers and website content
We collect the answers you give during onboarding and content from the website you point us to. These materials help your receptionist learn what your business does, where it works, what it charges according to your policy, and how to handle urgent inquiries.
For example, your instructions can explain whether you offer bed bug inspections or only particular treatment services. Supply information relevant to answering and routing your calls. When you change instructions in plain words, those settings guide later conversations, so keep them accurate for your current operation.
Caller information and call records
We collect call audio, recordings, transcripts, summaries and caller phone numbers. These records support intake, message handling, appointment booking and urgent routing under the business's instructions. The receptionist tells callers at the beginning that it is a virtual assistant and that the call is recorded.
Calls, website and demo chats, recordings, transcripts and summaries of trial and customer accounts may be reviewed by authorized staff for quality, support and abuse prevention. Access is limited to those purposes.
Your business receives email and app push alerts containing a summary, urgency tag, transcript and recording, plus a daily digest email. Call records are also available in the dashboard. A caller's request for a callback or treatment appointment becomes part of the information we process for that business.
Demo calls and website chats
Demo calls and chats on this site are recorded and transcribed to show the result. The demo lets you try a fictional pest control scenario and examine how the receptionist handles the conversation. Treat a demonstration as a test of the product and its stated behavior.
You can try the interactive browser demo without signing up. The recording and transcript are part of demonstrating the service, so use fictional inquiry details when exploring it. The collection described here also covers chats on this site, separate from calls made to a customer's business.
Website analytics and cookies
We use privacy-friendly analytics and Google Analytics to understand website use. Google Analytics uses cookies. Analytics information is part of our website data collection, alongside the account, onboarding and conversation information described in this policy.
You can contact [email protected] about analytics information or an opt-out request. Include whether your question concerns a website visit, a demo interaction, your customer account or a call to a business. That context helps identify which part of the service your request concerns.
Providers that support the service
We use providers for hosting and storage, telephone service, AI voice and text processing, payment processing, email delivery and analytics. These categories reflect the work needed to operate the website, manage subscriptions and answer calls. Different provider categories support different parts of the service.
AI model providers process voice and text for the receptionist. Our AI model provider, OpenAI, does not use our API data to train its models by default. We never sell personal information, and we never use callers' data for our own marketing purposes.
How long information is kept
We keep recordings for the period the customer business chooses: 30 or 90 days. Recordings are deleted after the selected period. Your business can choose the period that fits its call review process, including how it reviews urgent messages and follows up on appointment inquiries.
We keep transcripts and summaries while the account remains open and delete them within 30 days after it closes or on request. Those records have a different retention schedule from audio recordings. For questions about retention or deletion, contact [email protected] and describe the information concerned.
Access, correction, deletion and opt-out requests
You can email [email protected] to request access, correction, deletion or an opt-out. Callers can ask the customer business or contact us directly. Say which business you called and what you want to access or change so the request relates to the correct service records.
We address California residents' privacy rights where they apply. This policy describes how to reach us about those requests without requiring callers to have a customer account. If your question is about the pest control business's own use of information, include that business in your request.
Children and policy changes
This service is not for children under 13. Our website and receptionist are intended for the business and caller uses described here. Questions about information involving a child can be sent to the privacy email address listed in this policy.
Policy changes are dated on this page so you can identify the version you are reading. Review the subscription and service terms for the agreement governing customer accounts and caller data processing. Privacy requests remain directed to [email protected].
